A digital space for students and educators
This site can support your time in academia. Which ever side of the lectern or screen you are. Develop your digital literacy and skills to become a better learner or teacher, and consider the scholarship of teaching and learning.
My name is Barry, and I have a keen interest in supporting students and educators in higher education to develop their digital literacy and to learn new digital skills. This website will develop into a collection of ways to develop, ways to learn, ways to ‘cheat’ ethically, and ways to support you in higher education.
I am currently a Senior Curriculum Designer, drawing on my experience of creating new programmes and working with programme teams when I was in leadership roles to support in programme design and development. My previous role was in Technology Enhanced Learning, and I was the lead within a Faculty in a modern University. I have been a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Programme Lead, Placement Lead in Health Sciences, Associate Head of School for Student Success. I have led on the development of academics in their digital literacy and the use of digital in education. I sit on a number of internal and external panels and groups around digital literacy, and I want to use this website to share what I have learnt to the wider community.
